Presenting Little Things, the highly anticipated debut album by Norwegian vocalist Hanne Hukkelberg, a release that continues and highlights The Leaf Label’s tradition of sourcing unique and extraordinary music from around the world

A graduate of Oslo’s National Academy of Music, Hanne Hukkelberg  has incorporated piano, banjo, fiddle, accordion, violin, glockenspiel, glass bottles, and bicycle spokes to create a warm set of campfire songs made intimate by her mellifluous voice

This release needs to walk onto the must have lists of all discerning CD buyers, and especially those who have bought albums by Joanna Newsom, Cocorosie & Emiliana Torrini recently

Little Things features appearances from the cream of Norway’s musical talent including members of Jaga Jazzist, and noted Norwegian producer Kåre Christoffer Vestrheim

Live shows are currently being scheduled for the late Spring including festival appearances and a full EU tour follows in the autumn

A debut album as strong and rich as this always benefits from a positive press reaction and a word of mouth buzz; please get back to us with your marketing suggestions to capitalize on what is surely going to be a much heralded debut.

-Kaleidoscope Frenzy
"Little Things is rooted in the strength of an extraordinary ordinariness and that's what makes Hukkelberg's album so compelling."-The Wire
"Little Things arrives understated yet fully formed, a hushed but radiant bunch of songs...Hukkelberg's voice [is] equal parts Stina Nordenstam and Nina Simone."-Uncut
"Hanne Hukkelberg's voice is so ethereal it makes Björk seem clumsy."-Q Magazine
"Exquisitely Scandinavian...'Little Things' is alternately as big as a dream and as intimate as a whisper.”-iDJ
"Intoxicating...wonderful...Little Things marks the arrival of a talent who will have critics and consumers alike swooning [Hukkelberg's] way for the foreseeable future."-Drowned In Sound
"A work of sheer delicacy and delight, Norwegian Hanne's vocals are sublime like a Thirties jazz singer...Charming."-Music Week
"At once staggeringly original and brimming with unusual charm, Hukkelberg enchants at every turn...A fascinating musical creature emerging from the shadows of obscurity."-Rock Sound
"Every melodically airy journey is a sparsely crafted, endearing regional tribute that bursts with the light texture of [Hukkelberg's] windy, weightless voice."-The Leeds Guide
