International Women's Day 8-3-17 on 2SER

On  March 8, UTS and 2SER came togther to celebrate International Women's Day.

The one-hour event, Women in STEMM, Breakfast and Broadcast, featured a panel of noteworthy women, including:

Professor Liz Harry, Director, ithree institute, UTSMs Nell Payne, Group Director - Technology & Operations, FoxtelMs Ashwini Ranjithabalan, Project Manager, Rail, WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff Distinguished Professor Elizabeth Sullivan, Assistant Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), UTS

The panel discussed current challenges and plans for the future for women in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine / health (STEMM).

This is a matter close to the University's heart, and is part of the Athena SWAN charter: UTS commitment to gender equity. The forum was broadcast live on 2SER 107.3 radio in a one-hour, International Women's Day special.
