ACCREDITED TRAINING
Radio is an exciting and complex medium which requires lots of different skills. Just putting one radio program together requires skills in researching, writing, interviewing, editing and presenting, not to mention a lot of talking.
2SER short radio courses are the first step to laying the foundation for a career in radio. In Radio Presentation and Digital Production you will learn how to operate a studio panel, prepare and present all sorts of radio programs using digital production and editing suites, as well as learning the basics about the laws which govern the media.
These are nationally accredited courses, and together with the short Radio Industry Studies course, make up a Certificate II in Broadcasting (Radio).
The Certificate III in Broadcasting (Radio) further examines interviewing and news and copywriting techniques. You will learn how to conduct an interview and use recording equipment. You will also develop writing skills for news, feature stories, and talks-based production.
The five courses will run as individual short courses or as Certificate II (comprising Radio Presentation, Digital Production and Radio Industry) and Certificate III (comprising all five courses). Students enrolling in a full Certificate III course will receive a 10% discount. Upon completion of any individual course you will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment from the Certificate II or III in Broadcasting (Radio) / CUF30301
The courses take place at the studios of 2SER-FM where you will have access to the latest in radio production and studio equipment.
Further courses will be held throughout the year. Call 2SER for more information on 9514 9514.
