Three Lens Approach by Screensaver

The Feature Album this week on 2SER is Three Lens Approach by Screensaver.
The Melbourne five-piece throw out shadows and shapes in a consummate collision of sound, unleashing a prismatic third record of hypnotic rhythms, soaring guitars and ice cold synthesis.
Diving deeper into Screensavers bleak and gritty take on punk, Three Lens Approach is a dystopian exploration of power and “how we wield it through language and action, how society is affected by the existing power structures, the consequences of the absence of it and how we harness it emotionally and intellectually as individuals, and as the collective.”
Sonically, this makes full use of the clash between synthesisers and guitars, with razor sharp drum machines slicing a rhythm through a bubbling soup of noisy guitars and bleepy synthesisers and haunted vocals. It’s a bleak but compelling call to arms and a brilliant record.
Recorded by Julian Cue and mastered by Casey Rice,Three Lens Approach is out now on vinyl and digital via Poison City Records.
You can catch them touring this when they perform live at Waywards, Newtown on Saturday November 29.
