Since 2022 L.A.R.M have been mainstays of the Sydney live music scene with their high-octane and gritty discography showcasing the band’s mammoth sound. Their debut EP “Noise” illustrates L.A.R.M’s sonic journey since their invention, ranging from psychedelic/experimental rock with an ‘Oh Sees-Esque’ sound to punk & egg-punk and blending these styles immaculately.

After the release of lead singles “OFP” and “Prove” in 2024, this record offers an additional five tracks that ebb and flow seamlessly between the manic chaos of frontman Luca’s throaty vocals in “Neutron 1” and the nostalgic guitars in downtempo songs like “New Song” and “Depth”.

 

Following a sold-out EP launch at the Petersham Bowling Club, members Jimmy, Ben and Luca joined Mitch Lumsden on NewFangled to chat about the origins of “Noise” and the band itself.
