2023 Flickerfest

Flickerfest 2023 opens Friday 20 January with a sold out event at Bondi Beach. Flickerfest celebrates the world and Australia’s best short films over 10 days.

It is Australia’s only Academy® and BAFTA-qualifying short film festival, now in its 32nd year.

This year, Flickerfest once again includes ‘FlickerLab’, a series of panels designed to engage and inform filmmakers, taking place on Friday 27.

After its Bondi Beach season, Flickerfest goes on tour.

Oscar Byrne caught up with Festival Director Bronwyn Kidd in the lead-up to opening night.
