Over 40 million people live in modern day slavery

Last week, our producer Sarka Pechova brought us a report from Zanzibar off the coast of Tanzania, investigating its history as the former center of the slave trade.

Many people think of slavery as something that happened many years ago and no longer exists, but there are still tens of millions of people living in slavery today.
