40 Years of Love

40 Years of Love is a three storey high inflatable art installation located in Taylor Square, the heart of Sydney’s LGBTQI district.

Marking the 40th anniversary of the first Mardi Gras protest, artists Maurice Goldberg and Matthew Aberline collaborated to form this colourful, captivating and charismatic project.

Sophie Ly spoke with co-designer Maurice about the key themes and symbols ahead of the piece’s official unveiling on Sunday 1 July.
