A gaze on the horizon: Spotting seabirds

Imagine being on a boat in the middle of the ocean, staring at the horizon from sunrise until sunset, trying to record every sighting of birds. It would be a job that requires a lot of patience and focus. Population ecologist Dr. Eric Woehler has set himself to this task. He leads a research project that is creating a dataset with all recorded observations of birds above the remote parts of Australian waters.
