More Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Voices Need To Be Heard

When it comes to Closing the Gap between Indigenous and Torres Strait Islanders Australians and non-Indigenous Australians it seems like we’re still a long way off from an even playing field. There are all sorts of shocking statistics we could throw at you but one that might really bring to light how bad these issues are is the findings last month that young Indigenous men in Australia have the highest suicide rate in the world. A new report by Mission Australia has looked at some of the most pressing issues, proposing that in order to solve these issues, more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices need to be heard.
