Why is abortion still illegal in Australia?

Abortion is one of the most performed operations in Australia however it is still illegal in some cases.The law in NSW is not clear on what constitutes abortion that is legal. This uncertainty results in Doctors being very cautious about giving information about abortion. In NSW, abortions are legal if ending the pregnancy keeps the woman from danger to their life, their physical or mental health. Myles-Houlbrook Walk was joined by Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Caroline Decosta who spoke more on these issues.
