Amanda Greaney on Violence and Refuge

Intimate partner violence continues to devastate Australian women.
Sydney women’s refuge Lou’s Place was started in 1999 in Kings Cross, providing a safe space for women through care and community. In 2025, it remains a safe haven for women in crisis, feeling isolated or needing support.
Lou’s Place are chairing the No More Empty Shoes vigil on November 25 at Martin Place. CEO Amanda Greaney joined 2SER Breakfast to shed light on the complexities of this haunting issue.
