Are Australians Interested In News?

More and more Australians are consuming less news. A new report has shown continued declining interest in the news in comparison to other nations.

Many simply prefer Netflix over the nightly bulletin.

At the same time, those who are less interested in news prefer to stick to one source and trust it greatly.

Professor Caroline Fisher, Assistant Professor in Journalism at the University of Canberra and author of the Digital News Report 2019, joined us today to discuss why Australians are losing interest in the news.
