Aus Academic Intimidated by China’s State Media

An Australian academic has accused  the Chinese government of intimidation after being stalked  by its state media for weeks. Kevin Carrico, a Chinese Studies lecturer at Macquarie University, was being followed by Wen Wei Po, a state-owned Hong Kong newspaper after it  published a front page article accusing him of causing political unrest. Dr Carrico says it won’t change what he does, but how concerned should we be about Chinese surveillance?
