Australian leaders back ceasefire in Gaza crisis

A statement in support of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza has now been signed by 203 current and former Australian Members of Parliament and Councillors.

This statement follows Australia’s support for a resolution calling for a humanitarian ceasefire at last week’s UN General Assembly.

Australia Palestine Advocacy Network President, Nasser Mashni, says the statement shows a disconnect between past policy stances and community sentiment.
