Australian Troops to Afghanistan

Last month NATO requested more Australian training and mentoring forces to help bolster the Afghan army, and US officials then formally approached the Australian Defence Force. The result is that Defence Minister Marise Payne has announced that 30 new Australian troops will be sent to Afghanistan.
