Australian Vaccine Debate

The Australian Federal Government has invested in an initiative called the “No Jab, No Pay” policy which imposes a mandatory immunisation requirement for childcare rebates and benefits. Indeed, it is controversial but is it required to increase vaccinations in childhood? Perhaps our attention should be elsewhere seeing as of 4.1 million unvaccinated Australians, 92% are adults.

Professor of Infectious Diseases Epidemiology and Head of the School of Public Health and Community Medicine at the University of New South Wales, Raina MacIntyre joined The Daily to speak about the vaccine debate.
