Barkly region gears up for local council elections

This weekend, Australians living in the Barkly region in the NT will go to the polls to elect their local council members.

The region covers more than 300 thousand square kilometers in the Territory, where the main town is Tennant Creek and 6 candidates have campaigned in the region to become Mayor.

The Wire’s contributor from 8CCC Shauna Upton started asking Greens candidate Dianne Stokes to share a bit more about her life in Tennant Creek.
