Bilinguals: smarter than your average joe

How important is knowing two languages? Or three? Or five? Studies from the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development have found a range of advantages resulting from being bilingual, including a better understanding of language in general, and quicker learning environments. Dr Karen Mulak from Western Sydney University joined us to discuss the findings and how important being bilingual really is.
