Jair Bolsonaro was elected president of Brazil last month, amid concerns about his fascist rhetoric and anti-democratic attitudes.

As well as being a perceived threat to democracy in Brazil, Bolsonaro’s attitudes to the Amazon rainforest have the potential to derail the fight against climate change.
