Boobs vs. Bulges: Male Sexism in the Olympics

For many years women have been fighting for equality in sport and in many areas of their lives. Whilst this remains a serious issue for women across the globe, a topic that needs room for debate is whether men are being objectified in sport just as much. With headlines like “Best Olympic Bulges for 2016” by Cosmopolitan or “Hottest Olympic dudes” from the magazine Elle it makes you question whether we’re using double standards.

Earlier we spoke to Dr. Anthony Lambert, Senior Lecturer in the Media, Music and Cultural Studies Department at Macquarie University to discuss the issue.
