BOOKER MAGAZINE ISSUE 07

Wednesday Drive was blessed again to be able to speak to Kamyar Murphy, editor of Booker Magazine as they move into their 7th issue.
Friends of the show – Booker Magazine is an ongoing independent magazine covering and highlighting upcoming artists and creatives from around Sydney Eora.
Walking us through the new issue, Kamyar spoke about features on upcoming Western Sydney musician Zion Garcia, Distorted photography documenting Sydney’s underground scene, a piece written by an ex-Wednesday-Drive-Producer; Gus, a Lazy Thinking gig photography series and more.
Producer Stef and Kamyar also took a moment to reflect on how Booker Mag, along with other community lead art initiatives like FREZCO, Portrait Exchange, Underground Film Collective, and more have been overlapping to form a tightly knit, and collaborative arts culture.
Issue #07 launches next Friday the 17th of October, alongside a launch party that same night at a TBA Marrickville location. They’ve pulled an awesome lineup of killer DJ’s including crescendoll, hazboy, KAIKAI and boyg1rl.
Tickets are on sale now from the link in their instagram @bookermagazine.
