Breaking the chains of modern slavery

According to the most recent data from the International Labor Organisation, there are almost 25 million individuals in the world who are held in forced labor. Forced labor is any type of work that is done by someone against their will under threat of punishment. It’s also a form of modern slavery.

In Australia, companies with a turn-over of over $100 million are now required to report on the steps they are taking to ensure that they are not engaging in supply chains where modern slavery may feature. But for many advocates, this doesn’t go far enough.
