Cashless Debit Welfare Card Trial Extended
| Cashless welfare cards have been trialled across regional Australian in towns like Ceduna in South Australia and Bundaberg Queensland for the past few years.
This trial was up for a vote in the Senate last night to make the measures permanent. There a significant divisions on the virtues of the program, and some were up in arms that the Government wanted to cement this program in prior to Christmas. Bertin Huynh has more. |
