The giving economy is a growing sector. No longer are donation drives purely relegated to the realm of organisations like the Red Cross and St Vincent De Paul.

Individuals are creating donation campaigns for everything from sick pets, to sick people, to launching their business ideas.

Our producer Wilamina Russo spoke to Alison Rice, host of the widely downloaded podcast Offline, and discussed the funding of the first series and how Alison turned to her community to help her keep the show going.
