Proposed Changes to the Australian Passport System

When you leave for the airport the one thing you can’t afford to forget is your passport. But could we soon be able to travel without a passport at all? It seems like that could be the way of the future. Proposals to do away with the need for passports or even electronic kiosks could seem them replaced with biometric security measures.

Dr John Coyne, head of the Border Security program at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, chatted with The Daily today about this possibility.
