Children have more faith in robot’s intelligence than their own

According to a study led by Anna-Lisa Vollmer at Germany’s Bielefeld University, children are much more likely to trust a robot to know the right answer to a question than they are to trust themselves or another human being. The study also found that they’ll cave into robot “peer pressure” at a pretty disturbing rate, even when the robot is clearly wrong.
