Council Candidates on Board with Affordable Housing

On 5th September 2024, four Hornsby Shire Council candidates made pledges about providing ample and appropriate rental opportunities for lower income workers. Sydney Alliance have been facilitating these forums across Sydney, inviting local candidates to take meaningful steps towards increasing affordable housing. Lachlan Ford spoke with Sydney Alliance co-lead Cat Coghlan after the Hornsby forum about why Sydney needs to build affordable housing, and how Hornsby councillors are engaging with the issue.
