Crossing the floor crosses the Australian Labor Party

A political storm followed the ALP Senator for Western Australia, Fatima Payman.

She broke party ranks and voted for Greens bill for official recognition of the state of Palestine.  Crossing the floor is not new in parliament, however, the Australian Labor Party tends to take a dim view of members who vote against party policy which is to  ensure stability and party solidarity.
