Crypto currency no fad, says Jane Hume

Leaders from across the Australian crypto market say Senator Jane Hume’s calls for a cautious embrace of crypto assets should send a “very strong signal” to policymakers and the market alike.

Senator Hume, Australia’s Minister for Superannuation, Financial Services, and the Digital Economy, says she believes that embracing innovative financial technologies, such as blockchain, crypto, and decentralized finance, is necessary to maintain Australia’s competitiveness.

She spoke with The Daily’s Tina Quinn.
