CSIRO Cutting Climate Research Jobs

Climate change, it’s something we talk about a lot here on 2SER, maybe you’re sick of hearing about it but one of the reasons we talk about it so much is that in a lot of ways we’re still struggling to come to grips and come to an understanding about the full effects of climate change and what needs to happen to make sure we’re prepared for it. Therefore, the CSIRO looking to slash away a great deal of jobs for climate researchers may seem a little short-sighted, but that’s exactly what we see happening. Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick, Research Fellow at UNSW Australia joined us on the show to talk about this problem.
