Dams Push Platypus Over The Edge

The platypus is full of mysteries – they’re secretive nocturnal animals, a clever patchwork of species and no one really knows what the plural of platypus is. UNSW’s Platypus Conservation Initiative has been doing some spying and unfortunately, their most recent findings aren’t that positive.

2SER Breakfast’s Alex James spoke with Professor Richard Kingsford, Director of the Centre for Ecosystem Science at UNSW, to learn how damming is pushing these animals out of their natural habitat.
