The wild and wonderful Santa’s of Sydney won’t be found inside shopping centres or perfect north pole setups.

For the last history lesson of the decade Dictionary of Sydney’s Minna Muhlen-Schulte chatted with Breakfast host Alex about some Sydney siders who stepped out of their comfort zone to provide a little Christmas joy to those less fortunate than themselves.

Featuring the stories of Syd ‘Doc’ Cuningham, a Yuin man who raised funds for Christmas presents for Aboriginal children, Randall ‘Animal’ Nelson, a Kings Cross biker who would deliver presents to children in hospital, and several others.
