Disability doesn’t translate to disabled!

Summer may be coming to an end but the heat is still urging us to take every chance we get to head to the beach. The chance to get that golden tan, the feeling of sand between your toes and a cool dip in the sea.

Unfortunately not everyone gets to experience these things..

Three years ago, Angus McConnel was left in a wheelchair after an accident. He was then, and still is, an active member of the Cooks Hills Surf Club in Newcastle. After his accident he took a decision to provide people in wheelchairs access to the beach, something most of us take for granted.

Angus joined us for a chat about disability, accessibility and inclusion.
