Discovery of 55 million year old dinosaur egg shells found in South East Queensland

Located 250 kilometers from Brisbane in Southeast Queensland, the small town of Murgeon has a population of 2,000 residents and is recognized as a significant site for fossil discoveries. A report released today in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology reveals that a team of paleontologists has uncovered the oldest crocodile eggshells ever found in Australia, dating back 55 million years.
