Economic Costs of Domestic Violence

In light of White Ribbon day, greater focus has been placed on the issue of domestic violence, mainly that against women. Domestic violence has a number of devastating effects on families and relationships, as well as physical and mental health. Lesser known is the economic penalties impacting individuals, families and the national economy.
