Popping a bex in your cuppa was a practice of many housewives in the 60s, coining the phrase ‘You look like you need a cup of tea, a bex, and a lie down.’ The humble cup of tea reached legend status upon the Rolling Stones releasing their song ‘Mother’s Little Helper’, pointing to a bex in the brew.
