Family- friendly apartments

With the cost of living becoming a seemingly ever growing issue in today’s economy, people are looking for more affordable housing alternatives. Specifically more and more families are opting for apartment living but with the average family being four strong and most apartments only have two bedrooms, the space is inadequate! With families having to downsize due to inflation and the like, what do family friendly apartments look like and how do we accomplish that in their design and affordability? Producer Isa caught up with Dr Nicole Cook from the University of Wollongong whom co authored a study into this very issue and explored what family friendly apartments look like and how we can better accommodate their design for functionality and comfortability.
