The hype around battery technology has exploded over the past couple of years with the introduction of the Tesla electric car.

But how far can this technology go? What technologies will operate entirely off rechargable batteries next?

Katja Krestchmer, PHD Researcher in the Faculty of Science at the University of Technology Sydney, joined Jake in the studio to talk the future of batteries, the current rechargeable technologies and also why we should also remain cautious around rapidly advancing means of energy storage.
