Food Insecurity in Uni Students

Being a university student is often associated with living frugally on diets consisting of instant noodles, meal deals and generally eating frugally.

But since 2022, researchers have been tracking how students are not getting enough food to eat, which can have an impact on their academic performance and mental health, and new research suggests the problem is getting worse.

Today, Thursday Daily talked to Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Wollongong, Dr Katherine Kent about how students and university staff can navigate food insecurity.
