Funding for some professions that make important contributions to society

On July 1st, some Australian university students got access to a new payment. The Commonwealth Prac Payment is available to eligible teaching, nursing, midwifery and social work students.

This type of subsidy is intended to reduce the living burden of students majoring in related subjects and help them graduate smoothly. Professor Kelly Lambert joined ‘Wednesday Daily’ to further discuss whether there is room for improvement in this type of subsidy.
