Genetically Modified Bacteria Can Make On Demand Hydrogen

Macquarie University’s synthetic biologists have made a leap forward in renewable energy production by creating sugar-loving bacteria that has been designed to produce zero-emission hydrogen fuel on demand.

This, of course is a particularly useful advancement for our current climate, as the world swelters through record heat waves and unprecedented levels of global warming.

To learn more, we were joined this morning joined by Associate Professor in Molecular Sciences at Macquarie University, Associate Professor Louise Brown.
