Small businesses are an important part of our economy. All around Australia, they have been devastated by the Covid lockdowns. Many have been forced to close for good and with many others just scraping through. With Victoria moving into its second lockdown, small businesses now face their biggest challenge so far. So what can the government do to help? Dr John Vaz is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Banking and Finance at Monash University – He has put together a roadmap for how the government can meet the needs of small business in this trying period.
