Housing crisis is affecting regional areas in NSW

Australia is under a housing crisis, but it’s more severe in regional cities like Byron Bay. An influx of new residents and investors has meant many long-term residents of the Northern New South Wales shire have been forced out of their community.

In response to this issue, the Byron Bay Council tried to implement a 90 day limit to short term letting in certain residential areas.
