Indigenous cultural heritage under water and under threat

A new research from Flinders University found out stone artefacts in the coastal shores of northwestern Australia. The research also shows there are many artifacts that could be considered Indigenous heritage submerged in the ocean around the continent.

However, experts say maritime archaeology needs to have more resources to explore the concept, and activities such as gas and oil explorations and climate change are threatening the areas where these artefacts are located.
