A group of 8 Torres Strait Islanders are planning to protest against Australia’s inaction on climate change at the United Nations.

The case is a world first litigation that argues climate change is in fact a violation of human rights for Torres Strait islanders and indigenous communities.

As a nation, are are we doing enough to include indigenous knowledge in order to inform our response to this climate crisis?
