Interview: Freedom is Beautiful Angus McDonald

The powerful new documentary feature FREEDOM IS BEAUTIFUL is screening on June 11 and 18 at the Sydney Film Festival. The film follows the extraordinary journey of two Kurdish refugees, Farhad and Mostafa (Moz). Both men fled persecution in Iran, searching for safety, freedom and a better future, only to be treated brutally by the Australian government. Both spent almost eight years imprisoned in detention.

The film is the debut feature for award-winning visual artist Angus McDonald who spoke recently with Evan Shapiro from 2ser’s Celluloid Dreams.
