Is Chris Lilley a Lunatic?

Chris Lilley has been a stalwart of Australian television since Ja’mie and and Mr G first graced our screens in the mid 2000s, but his later work has attracted more criticism than praise, as many of his characters were seen as racist and insensitive.

His new show Lunatics has many divided, as he’s tried to clean up his act but still maintain his signature brand of Comedy.

Sidd Sharma spoke to Alex Cothren, a PHD candidate at Flinders University, to try dissect his latest effort.
