Julian Droogan: Iran and Saudi Arabia

Iran is a bit of the Belle of the ball at the moment, with relations opening up with the United States and a few attempts at diplomacy going a bit awkwardly. However Tensions are still rising between Saudi Arabia and Iran after Saudi Arabia’s execution of a prominent Shia cleric, and a couple of days ago Saudi Arabia ruling out mediation with Iran. To discuss this further our world security expert Dr Julian Droogan from the policing, Intelligence and counter terrorism unit at Macquarie University spoke to The Daily earlier today.
