Juno Gemes on the movement for First Nations’ Rights

Juno Gemes is one of Australia’s most celebrated contemporary photographers.

Her newest book, Until Justice Comes, captures all the critical moments for the Indigenous rights movement through a fusion of past and continuing works.

This powerful collection of photographs inspired the event, Fifty Years of the Movement for Indigenous Rights, being hosted at the State Library of NSW on Thursday 3 April at 6pm.

Juno, along with other speakers from the worlds of activism, history and arts, will highlight the resilience, resistance and achievements of First Nations peoples in their pursuit of justice and sovereignty.
